Last updated: draft — not yet legally reviewed.
Ballhouse aggregates publicly available NBA news (trade rumors, game results, drama, sneaker releases) from third-party sources — RSS feeds from sports outlets, and where enabled, X (Twitter) and Reddit — and lets you comment, vote, and rate player performances alongside other users. Ballhouse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NBA, any NBA team, or any player.
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account. You must be old enough to legally consent to these terms in your country to sign up. One account per person — don't create accounts to evade a suspension or to manipulate votes/ ratings. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete account, which permanently removes your account and personal data.
You keep ownership of comments, ratings, and anything else you post. By posting, you give Ballhouse a license to display, store, and distribute that content as part of running the service.
Ballhouse has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. That includes, without limitation: illegal content, harassment, threats, hate speech, defamation, pornography, content that infringes someone else's rights, and coordinated manipulation of votes, ratings, or polls. This applies to every piece of user-generated content on Ballhouse — comments, player ratings, and polls.
Reporting: every comment has a Report action. Three distinct reports auto-hide a comment pending review; our moderation team can also hide or restore content directly. Reported content is reviewed and, where it violates these terms, removed.
Blocking: you can block any other user from your Profile or from their comments — once blocked, you no longer see their comments or ratings, and this takes effect immediately, no review needed.
Enforcement: we may remove content, and may suspend or permanently terminate an account, at our discretion, for violating this section — including on a first offense for severe violations (illegal content, threats, harassment), not only after repeated violations.
Player performance ratings are opinions from Ballhouse's user community, not an official statistic, and not endorsed by the players, teams, or the NBA. Ratings and comments about real, identifiable people should stay about their on-court performance — not personal attacks. The zero-tolerance policy in Section 3 applies here too.
Headlines and summaries sourced from third parties (RSS feeds, X, Reddit) remain the property of their original publishers/authors. Ballhouse links back to and attributes the original source for every story; it doesn't claim ownership of third-party reporting.
Ballhouse is provided "as is." News aggregation, category classification, and "why this matters" framing are automated and can be wrong, outdated, or miscategorized — don't treat anything here as verified fact without checking the original source linked on each story.
These terms may be updated as the product changes. Continuing to use Ballhouse after an update means you accept the revised terms.
